Tastings and pricing
Dreamin' Desserts makes ordering your wedding cake or dessert table one of the more delightful experiences in planning your wedding and other special events. Consultations and tastings are by appointment only.
If you are an out of town bride and have chosen Central Oregon for your destination wedding location, we can do most of the design and consult work via email or phone. If you can't make it in for a tasting, I can ship the samples to you. Shipping price based on your location & order.
When you come to the tasting consultation, please feel free to bring any personal inspirations for your cake such as: color and fabric swatches, pictures from magazines, Pinterest board, invitations, flower choices or any other personalized details to help me understand your vision for the wedding day or event.
On the warmer days of the year I host your tasting outdoors in a tranquil garden complete with a babbling brook under a canopy. It can't get better than that!
Cake Tastings
FOR WEDDINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS
Tasting fees 2 people is $40.00 (If more than two people are attending there are additional costs which will be confirmed with you during your booking). Tasting fees must be paid 7 days prior to consultation.
Tastings are comprised of 3 cake flavors and 3 icing options. If you want more flavors, additional charges will apply.
Tasting cancellations
If you need to reschedule or cancel your tasting consultation I require you contact me no later than 48 hours in advance. If it is less than 48 hours, the consultation fees will not be refunded.
Dessert Table Tastings
FOR WEDDINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS
Starting at $45.00 for 2 people (a tasting fee will be charged for each additional person and must be confirmed during your booking).
Three desserts of your choosing will be prepared for the tasting. If you want to taste more than three desserts these will be charged at an additional fee depending on your choice(s).

Pricing for cakes & dessert tables
Wedding and event cake costs
All cakes are made-to-order and vary in size and decor based on your requirements. A minimum order of $300 is required.
All cakes are priced by the slice. Swiss buttercream cakes begin at $10.00 a slice and Fondant cakes at $12.00 a slice. Prices are calculated based on the design, the amount of florals, and so forth.
Traditionally wedding cakes are sliced into 1′ x 2 ‘x 4’ serving sizes. If you want to serve larger slices please let me know.
Dessert table costs
Prices for dessert tables are based on cost per guest, custom design and equipment fees. We recommend 3 - 4 desserts per guest. A cost estimate is provided following an initial consultation. It's important that you have an estimate of the number of guests at the time of consultation. If you want an idea of dessert and pastry costs please click on the links below. Payments & cancellations
Following the cake/dessert tasting I will provide you with cake sketches. When you accept the final design and cost of the cake a contract will be emailed to you and we will require a 50% non-refundable deposit with the final balance due 21 days prior to the wedding or events. The 50% non-refundable deposit will secure your date. If we do not receive the non-refundable deposit then the date cannot be guaranteed.
Any cancellation will be an automatic forfeit of the 50% deposit. If the cancellation happens within less than 14 days of the event date there will be no refund of the final 50%. The deposit is non-transferable to any other product or service.
Delivery & set-up
All cakes and dessert tables are delivered and set up by Tracy Van Orden, who works with her clients from the first phone call all the way through to your event day. Dreamin' Desserts provides delivery service. Costs are calculated based on miles to your venue as well as the time to deliver and set up of wedding cake.
Our dessert table set-ups start at $50 which includes arranging all the various items that you ordered. Set-up costs depend on the size of your order. This set-up fee includes incorporating all your personal display items; such as flowers, dessert description tags and other miscellaneous decorations.
Consultation location
Dreamin’ Desserts is a home-based, custom-order bakery which is fully licensed. Our cake and dessert table tastings are done by appointment only. We are located in Bend, Oregon. Address will be supplied upon tasting date confirmation.
